Serial Conflict by Tobias Peterson (Sum-1) is another step deeper into the musical thinking of the artist. Sum-1 has been defining his artistic style with each new release and Serial Conflict is no exception. Glumfrex is the first release of 2009 by Tobias Peterson (Sum-1). It is a total of 19 tracks broken down into two albums for CD or dvd-a. The expanded DVD will feature videos and concept art as well. The first 9 tracks are of a more laid back melonchollie mood set while the final 10 have a more upbeat chaotic twist.
The tracks are electronic in nature with a definitive Sum-1 experimental IDM style.
The new album by Sum-1 entitled S1 has been released and is available for download. Tobias Peterson (Sum-1) has put together the S1 album containing fourteen new experimental IDM tracks.
This is his third album as Sum-1 and his fourth including the Acid Planet collection under the PsychoSid alias. It follows the summer release of two extended long play (40 minute) session mixes and is a bit more heavily leaning towards his experimental roots in the electronic music genre.
This is one of his longest albums to date and has a total runtime of just over 107 minutes.
Tobias played this interesting session during a spring break pool party with friends. Lasting roughly 40 min.
This mix brings the feeling of lounging at the beach with friends enjoying the weather and recovering from the night before.
Altogether a great track with a relaxing chill, ibiza style to it.
Sum-1 AKA Tobias Petersons May 6th Birthday Bash session jam. On the sixth of May, 2008 Tobias turned 29 years old and celebrated his birthday with friends and family this is the jam session he performed at the celebration lasting about 40 minutes long. The song is made up of classic Sum-1 electro, IDM, minimal techno beats and grooves in his glitchy signature style.
Mechanical Monkeys is the second release from Tobias Peterson AKA Sum-1. It is a collection of fourteen electronic tracks within the genres of electro, glitch, breakbeat, ambient dub with hints of IDM. This album places its emphasis upon the astute use of glitching rythymns reminisant of electronic circiuts and the flow of breakbeat, hiphop and jazzy drumbeats and overtones. Imagine a journey through the depths of the overworked machine and the drones of a broken-down factory drenched in solitude. Tireless robots of primate origins, programmed to toil to the endless cadence of electrical impulses. Mechanical monkeys in a world no longer human, emotionless and enslaved, a product of their own labor.
Burnt Toast For Breakfast is the title of Tobias Peterson AKA Sum-1s debut album release on the Togeo Music label. This album is a collection of eleven tracks of electronic style music. Burnt Toast For Breakfast’s concept is based around one of those days that starts off bad and just continues to get worse as the day goes on. Tobias musical style is a blend of electronic genres that are hard to define. Never the less, he keeps things anchored throughout the tracks with a strong dose of minimalism, whether techno, idm, electro or breakbeat, the core sounds shine through. A pleasant and enjoyable first album, Burnt Toast For Breakfast is a good representation of his musical talents and a preview of whats in store.
